The Entertainment industry is a very large market. Netflix, Google Play, Youtube are just some of the popular platforms offering video and gaming content to media enthusiasts. Synthesis picked up on this hype many years ago with the introduction of Android based gadgets such as Boxee, Pivos Xios, and the legendary Nexus Player. We saw a potential in this market and started performing research and tests with various hardware and software supporting the Android OS platform. The challenge was to create a product which would stand out both performance wise and price wise, enter Unibox.
Solution.
Unibox device had 2 revisions before it’s final realization. The main challenge the tea faced was to bridge gaming, video content and personal computer like functionality. After years of testing, working on various Android operation systems we settled with our version of AndroidTV 7.1 OS and remarkable Amlogic S912 Octa-Core processor. This solid foundation allowed further enhancements to be built-on to the device which would result something never seen before on the market. We are very passionate about our product and looking forward to sharing it with the world.

The concept further grew into a prototype with a team of 5 people specializing in system design, development and testing. Along the journey Synthesis partnered up with numerous vendors for hardware and software solutions such as Gamesir, Amlogic, Tronti in order to create something unique and demonstrate that solutions such as Unibox are quite doable when a great team in smaller numbers comes together.
