The Centre for Effective Practice (CEP) is founded in 2004 by University of Toronto’s Department of Family and Community medicine aiming to close the gap between evidence and practice for health care providers. It gives providers what they need to deliver the best care to their patients by engaging them throughout its processes to create evidence-based solutions that can be adapted into their local contexts.
CEP’s challenges over the last 2 years were how to communicate and present their tools to the online audience in a simplistic, modern way without being tech savvy.

Solution.

Bringing ideas Together

Synthesis initially entered a tender bid for the web redesign CEP project. It quickly won over the client with its unique background and knowledge in the IT and Digital space. The initial rapid information architecture and wire-framing demonstrated experience and in this domain and simplicity in understanding and meeting client’s requirements. Project management execution throughout the process was as with all of our other projects, very informative, responsive and proactive. The overall content management system selected was WordPress with a custom developed theme in order to allow CEP’s internal team to manage all aspects of their content, marketing and clinical tools such as “Sample Projects”, “Practical Tools and Resources”, just to name a few. In addition to creation of the content management system, all pages have been optimized for SEO as well as configuring and setup of the backend and hosting systems.
